Piccabeen Palm

Description: Large size Palm tree with bright RED fruits.
Found in tropical to subtropical areas. Palm leaves paler below but not silvery (compared to the North QLD A. alexandrae).
Fruits are attractive to birds.
Flowers are small LILAC all year around in good conditions.
Popular horticultural species
Used as water carriers by Aboriginal people (Piccabeen means water carrier) and young leaves and tissues were a food source.
