| Our nursery is a non-for-profit organisation based in Coolum. We offer complimentary expert advice on how to take care of your new plants. Backing onto the Hyatt Regency Coolum resort, the Coolum Community Native Nursery specialises in local coastal native plants and salt tolerant species that are iconic to the Sunshine Coast.Our local plants have evolved over millions of years to become ideally suited to our windy, sandy and salty conditions.
Local salt tolerant plants are ideal for this area as they generally require less water and fertilisers than other exotic options. In addition they provide valuable food and habitat for local wildlife while maintaining the unique character of this part of the Coast that we call home.
UPCOMING WORKSHOPS… 24th August 9-11am Barbara Henderson presents a workshop on her beloved favourite plants – wallum wildflowers. Discover the amazing flowers of the wallum, develop your skills in plant identification and learn about the history of their protection on the Sunshine Coast.
